I'm sure most people have heard the saying "money is power" a number of times throughout their life, and it's true. Money does fuel the world. For logistical reasons, I would tell my past self who won future Super Bowls. This would give me the opportunity to win sports bets in the future.
Many people may question my decision, but I stand by it. Others might wonder why I wouldn't warn myself to avoid a big mistake I made somewhere in the future but I believe most mistakes shape our future selves for the better and help us to learn valuable lessons. For example, I once procrastinated studying for a large statistics test that was set to take place the following week. I walked into class thinking I'd easily pass the test, but upon looking at the first question I realized I had made a big mistake. Although this may not be the worst thing that could ever happen to someone, I definitely learned my lesson. After all, I could use the money I win to do something meaningful in the world.
When it's all said and done, my future self would be more knowledgeable and would be better equipt in life to allocate his sports betting winnings into the best possible places. At the end of the day, power and ignorance have never gone well together.
