New Elective Class. by Ty - February 2022 Scholarship Essay

One elective that I believe should be added into the school system would be "Information Technology" where students learn about a bunch of problems they may run into while working on computers and how to fix those issues. It would help educate a lot of people to problems they will most likely come across in their lifetime. The class might also help someone, who did not know what they wanted to do in life, find something that they are very interested in and get a job pursuing a career in technology. Think about how much technology has influenced our lives and how wonderful it can be whenever you are not coming across any of the people who are actively trying to make everything worse for you. Now think about all the times you had an error that stopped you from doing something important, and how you had to spend a while trying to find a guide online to fix the issue and work through it, or all the money you spent bringing it to an expert so they could fix the problem. That is the exact reason why starting an "Information Technology" class would be so helpful to everyone, and why it should be turned into an actual elective that students could try. After all, we have classes made specifically to help students type so why would it not be possible for a class all about fixing errors to be a possibility. In conclusion, we should have an elective titled "Information Technology" to help students understand how to fix errors they may come across in day to day life, while also encouraging them to take careers in the technology field.
