Starting out when I was around 10 years old, I decided that I was not interested in going to college. I wanted to be an electrician and attend a trade school to learn a skill. I was interested in discovering how things worked, especially electrical items like household appliances.

However, as I grew older, I changed my mind and decided that I would like to take my education a step further and become an electrical engineer. I have realized that it is so important to constantly be growing and learning new things each and every day in order to develop a lifetime love of learning. This will keep me going in my older years when I learn a new skill or discover a new topic. Some benefits of a college education include personal growth, career advancement, and contributing to society.

One of the primary reasons I want to go to college is the opportunity for personal growth and self-discovery.
