Obtaining the Unattainable
Life never takes the route previously delineated; quick fluctuations in the route may occur suddenly and could turn out to be for the better or, for the worse. However, the situation you find yourself in at any current period in time is solely determined upon how hard you are willing to work to achieve your hopes and dreams. You will be where you want to be if you strive to achieve whatever it is you really want; doing what really makes you happy. These quick fluctuations will interfere in your route and you even may seem to find more fluctuations rather than straight aways. This does not mean you can no longer reach your original destination, it means you have to be willing to overcome obstacles, adversity, and challenges along the way. With all these hindrances the destination seems nearly impossible to reach but, that is when so many decide to quit and give up. Letting these fluctuations change how you originally felt or be skeptical about what you truly love doing is the biggest mistake. This is what sets apart the ones who live lives full of what they love doing and, the ones who are stuck in the same loop with no exit sign near by.
You are a product of your determination, even though at times I feel that I’m a slave for this world. I feel like i'm trapped in a loop that most don’t escape, that it didn’t matter what you did if you weren’t lucky enough then you never made it out of this loop no matter who you are. Thought’s similar to these once wore trails within my own head until I had my eyes pried open. These thoughts I once had soon dissipated due to a very valuable lesson learned. If you're willing to spend sleepless nights due to your determination, hard work and, thirst to achieve it is what you want in life then in fact you will surpass the competition and achieve what you want to. You have to be willing to make the tough sacrifices and spend sleepless nights working harder than anyone else would ever even dare to dream in order to achieve your hopes and dreams.
This is the most valuable lesson that I have ever learned from a teacher, no matter what you want to do or no matter what anyone says you should be doing differently follow your dream no matter what it takes. Of course it's easy to be inspirational and tell someone to follow their hopes and dreams but, at the same time you should reinforce that main point with the fact that the road is not going to be easy at all and there will be quite a few hindrances along the way. You may have to make some extremely tough decisions and you may have to cut some people out of your life that aren't necessarily benefiting who you are and where you want to be. Without a doubt there will be tough times that are uncomfortable and involve making difficult decisions but, you have to make the best decision for your future and invest in yourself.
To label this lessoned that I learned only as valuable seems like an absolute understatement; this is more than a lesson, it is a fact of life. The people who are determined and hungry enough to go out in the world and achieve their dreams at any cost possible are the ones that will eventually run the world. In the great words of Malcolm X “The future belongs to those who prepare for it today.” That statement encompasses the underlying lesson that my teacher was trying to feed to me, those words that my teacher spoke to me resonated so much that any doubt of me not being where I want to be in the future or that I may have set my goals to high were completely obliterated from my inner conscience. My teacher implanted a not only a valuable lesson in my memory but gave me all the confidence needed in order to achieve my dreams; this lesson was a guide to live by for the rest of my life.
If I had the ability to make the same impact in someone else’s life much like my teacher did to me then I seek to inspire the world, I would push to install that same determination and fire that was lit within me when those words spilled out from my teacher's mouth. Sadly most people don’t have the sheer determination or will to be able to sacrifice being comfortable for what they truly want, you can not install passion, determination, and drive in people it's something that has to come from within. It has to be a self made choice of not settling for less than your worth, not giving in to anyone or anything just because the task at hand may be challenging or uncomfortable to you. It has to be a self made and self sustaining fire within yourself that drives you to breaking your own previous limitations, you have to feed the soul and do what's best for yourself and solely yourself. This lesson learned is more valuable than words can begin to describe; this lesson was soul food.
