Thinking outside the box is a phrase that has been put into young minds forever. The first person to create a car, helicopter, toaster, etc. had to of thought outside of the box to successfully create these revolutionary inventions. In order to succeed in life, or to make it beyond one’s goal, thinking outside the box is required.
Thinking outside the box means that one is able to use his/her creative thinking and complex brain to look beyond normal solutions. School is an excellent place to utilize this creative thinking. Notably, certain classes require a little more thinking to excel. These students who think outside the box are the ones who are able to learn more and process knowledge differently. People who acknowledge and use this out of box thinking are able to reach new heights and learn better. For example, while all the class is taking regular paper notes, a student was taking color coded notes. This is a prime example of out of box thinking. Since they utilized all there material adequately, their notes are now easy and more organized. Therefore, whenever they study, they are able to see the important information while the other students are struggling to find certain points. This helped her excel on the test all because she thought outside the box and color coded her notes. My math class is another prime example of how inside out thinking can be applied. Such as, whenever I was in calculus class I would think outside the box almost every class in order to solve complex problems and equations. Because I did not follow the set guidelines, I was able to utilize my own paths to take with certain tasks. This helped me excel and pass the AP exam and earn college credit.
In close, out of box thinking has helped me excel and become more advanced in all the tasks I attempt. This thinking process allows me to see and search for easier solutions. This is important in life, because this is a key to successfulness. This thinking get you more noticed and acknowledges one’s true work ethic. Finding another way, different from everyone else, helps one shine brighter and show out bolder. In the end, thinking outside the box means successfulness to me.
