My name is Timothy Stonebarger, a rising junior from the California State University - Fresno studying Agricultural Science. I am applying for the Varsity Tutors College Scholarship Contest to help fund my academic pursuit and contribute to my vision of a more sustainable and efficient agricultural landscape.

Born and raised in Bakersfield, my Hispanic/White heritage played an integral role in shaping my character. It instilled in me resilience, determination, and a sense of community - values that I consider as my invincible shield in navigating the complexities of the academic world and beyond. Being a part of a community that views agriculture as its lifeblood, I have grown an inherent interest in analyzing the symbiotic relationship of man and earth, which fueled my ambition to delve deeper into agricultural plant science.

Maintaining a 3.7 GPA while undertaking an intensive major like Agricultural Plant Science may seem daunting.
