Imagination The Beginning of Everything by Tiffany - December 2017 Scholarship Essay
All things that have ever been produced or accomplished always started out as a thought. I feel like anything successfully executed is going to be well thought out. It's been my experience that the more time I reflect on my project the more successful and easy to accomplish it is.The mind is the first virtual diagram of all things that anyone chooses to create.
I start off by deciding how to answer the question, or how to solve the problem and what overall message I want to convey. I decide how I want to express my idea, Should I write it, build it, or draw it. Sometimes a project can require all three. How much time and money is it going to take and do I have access to the resources I need. If not, how can I substitute or acquire the supplies that I require?
Once I made some of the basic decisions, I start to imagine my creation. If I'm writing I'll create a basic outline in my head. I 'll plan my opening sentence, pick out a few subtopics to expand on and come up with my closing statement. I decide if my message will be humorous, factual, fictional or a combination of these.
If I'm building something I get my tools, supplies and tell my husband about my vision so he can assist me. If drawing is involved I hire someone unless I'm able to use stick figures in the illustration. When I actually start creating, the project goes by lickety-split sometimes better than I imagined.
