In the book, “A Kiss In Time”, the character Jack influenced me to remain determined and stand up for my dreams. Jack’s problems may be a little wilder than mine; I don’t think I’ll fall in love with a three hundred year old person who must be saved by a fairy with a grudge, but I know that I will have obstacles to face.
Jack had to travel across an enchanted hill; he would walk for miles and end up where he started. After nightfall, he was presented with a series of test, with every correct answer he was closer to saving his beloved princess and his future.

In my future, I know things will not always be easy; one day I may find myself on an enchanted hill, wondering when will I reach the top or if I should give up. If I find myself in doubt though, I must think of Jack and how he didn’t give up. I must remain determined and push forward, toward my dreams. With every right decision I make, I will find myself closer and with every wrong, will be a chance to learn and perhaps become even more committed to my future plans. I hope to find myself in a similar situation as Jack; working hard for my future, achieving my goals, and keeping my family and friends close throughout the process.
