How Agriculture has Impacted Me. by Tesla - September 2017 Scholarship Essay

One class that I have taken that has impacted my education was Intro to Agriculture. Being a student that wanted to study Agriculture, it was an amazing opportunity for me. This class has given me a head start, and it has made me the person that I am today.
Intro to Agriculture opened a door to dual-credit class that will give me a jump start for my future. When I go to college I want to major in animal science, and later become a large animal veterinarian. The classes I have taken are through Murray State University, and are Veterinary Medicine, Animal Science, and Advanced Animal Science. These are all classes that I would have had to take in college, but would have been more expensive. Since I took Intro to Agriculture I was able to be placed into these classes.
This class has introduced me to FFA. I joined when I was a sophomore, I have been an active member ever since, and this year I have the honor of calling myself the Committee Chairman of Public Relations. Being an active person has definitely had its ups, such as meeting people with the same interests as me. Those people have become my best friends and I don’t know what I would do without them.
In conclusion that one class has changed my life for the better. Not only has it changed who I am today, and has given me the opportunity to get ahead in life which is something that nobody should pass down. If it wasn’t for that class I would not be where I am today and where I am today is where I have always wanted to be.
