If you were a college professor, what class would you teach and why? by Terri - August 2017 Scholarship Essay

Have you ever struggled with daily life task? Something that perhaps may have seemed so simple to others but was too complex for you? If so maybe you should consider taking my "Everyday Life Skills" class! This class will consist of hands on interactions with homemade electricity, bonfires and Mother Nature’s best gift to earth Nature!
In this day in age we are all so dependent on items that won’t be around forever and that could possibly breakdown any moment. When an everyday machine abruptly stops working most people are often times stuck not knowing what to do next, for instance if ones oven stops working first instinct would be to start spending money on fast food rather than saving money by going outside to start a fire or even put food on the grill. Cooking without electricity, seeing without electricity and having fun without electricity should not have to be a learned behavior but in fact an innate behavior. For those who behaviors like these don’t come natural, should definitely consider taking my class. All these things will definitely be covered; my class will consist of fun and interactive learning amongst peers. There won’t be set criteria to meet, this class will strictly be based solely off the “what if’s” and personal experiences. The motto for this class is “Everyday tasks made simple”!
