My Academic Goals. by Taylor - August 2022 Scholarship Essay

College is a great opportunity to expand your horizons and gain a next level of education. Sadly when many students go in they don't know what they want to Major in quite yet. But that is where I personally stand different from the crowd.
I've chosen to be a Criminal Justice Major. not only because many people are being needed in the field. But I chose this Major as a way to give back to the people, communities, and society itself. My end plan is to be a Detective, Homicide, to help the victims' families get closer and understand why they lost their loved ones. I personally want to help our society no matter the danger I face with this work field I plan to enter. From a young age I've always dreamed of changing the world. And now that I am in college, I'm taking the first steps to making that dream a reality. I will make that dream a reality because I am a hard worker.
In conclusion this is my chosen Major, a small yet monumental step to help me achieve my goals and help me help the communities I work in and live in. I will not give up until I have reached my goal, but one goal always turns out to be more. So therefore I will achieve all my goals because I know I can do it.
