In high school I always felt like elective that should be taught is how to do your taxes. Most kids grow up and make it through high school still not knowing how to do their taxes instead they use apps that they end up paying for causing them to lose money instead of getting their full tax money back because they needed another person to do their taxes for them. I feel as we don't really prepare students for that part of life so they end up struggling to figure it out and also not receive their money on time because of the errors made. Having this class will benefits many college and high school students making sure they aren't losing any money and paying someone else to do it when it can be taught and save them less time and trouble. Growing up I wish I had a class like that so I knew how to do them when it came time and what information would be needed when it came time for me to do them. My parents tell me how much they wish taxes was taught in school because maybe then they could teach us how to file them.
