In Ten Years by Taeller - December 2015 Scholarship Essay

For myself, I have always planned on three things: college, family, and a job. Next fall, I will be attending Hastings College in Hastings, Nebraska. I am going to pursue a degree in psychology and to participate in track and field, as well as cheerleading. Attending college next year could land me in many different positions in ten years.
If all goes accordingly, I will have graduated college six years ago. I would like to be working in a school system as a counselor or have a job similar to that. I want to have a small family consisting of my husband, two children, and myself. Because I have grown up on a ranch, I would like to live in a city. However, the city should be no larger than Kearney, Nebraska.
All this being said, as long as I am happy with what is happening in my life, I do not really care what I do or do not have. Though this is my ideal future, it is not up to me to decide what happens. I just hope that in ten years, I am happy, healthy, and alive. I wish to have loved ones around me, whether its family or friends or pets. And I hope that by then, I will have changed somebody’s life.
