Who Was the One Person Who Impacted Your Education? by Summer - March 2023 Scholarship Essay

Have you ever thought about how you became how you are today? Many people have impacted your life while you may not even realize it. This can vary from family, teachers, friends, people around you, and even yourself whether you realize it or not. Every time someone thinks about the education they think of school when in the real world we know this ain’t the only one. There are multiple different types of education, some examples of these are formal education, informal education, non-formal education, and special education. Formal education is where you attend a school where you need training from a teacher that teaches you what you need to know. Informal education is known about learning different things in the real world. Which can include, sports, clubs, or after-school activities/programs. Non-formal education is where there is a typical form of structured learning that has no curriculum or anything to do with formal learning. Lastly, special education is mainly for people with disabilities like ADHD, dyslexia, or anything that has to deal with the ability to learn in a regular class setting. There’s always been at least one person who has affected you the most in any type of educational setting. My mother has always been the most influential person in my life that has affected my education a bit more than any other person has.
Most people don’t realize how much your moms help you throughout your life. Yet you have only been in your parents’ life maybe half of their life but they have been in yours since birth. So ever since you were little you started being educated on how they do things. Not everyones’ parents educate or teach their children the same way but they do sometimes have a few things in common that they teach their children. My mother and I have been growing up throughout our lives together. Over the years we have been together she has taught me a lot of things that I use every day. She has taught me various examples of how to cook, clean, and take care of myself & others, along with many more things that I can not comprehend every single one of them. Most parents want what is best for their children. My mother has impacted me by making me into who I am now. She has always taught me how to do things in a certain way or how to act. This turned me into how I am now because she always made sure I went to school on time, helped me with a few things if I needed it, and made sure if she couldn’t help me that I would go talk to the teacher to understand what was happening. This is how I believe my mother impacted me & my education of any kind.
