Roles Being Reversed by Stephanie - October 2016 Scholarship Essay

Roles in today’s society have significantly impacted society. For example, there are roles that have affected teachers who teach certain subjects. Subjects shouldn’t be based off a role, but if roles were reversed I would teach spanish language. The spanish language class is usually taught by a woman in which a man should be able to as well. Teaching a spanish class as a male would allow for a more extensive variety of teachers teaching the class.
As a male teaching the class it would allow for a different sense of the class. Woman usually teach spanish in which they may even have the same teacher when they advance in the class. It would give a different environment when there is a different teacher as you advance. As a male teaching the spanish language class then there would be more strictness enforced within the classroom. Many students who take spanish believe they can slack off and easily pass the class. Teaching as a male, may have more of an impact to the students to do their work.
Spanish can be taught by any person but by having a different environment there will be a more variety of those who take the class. When you have the same teacher year after year it can get boring you can say. So, by having a different teacher then you can explore a different environment.
