My Future by Skyelar - March 2025 Scholarship Essay

In 10 years I hope to see myself working for the FBI as a criminal profiler or even working in any criminal justice field. Ever since I was little, I've always wanted to protect people from evil, and with the education I'm going to take (criminology, forensic science, and criminal justice), I will be able to understand what I need to do to protect people and how to catch these evil people. I plan on trying to get my master's degree in forensic science and in psychology so I can understand why people do these evil things and also so I can understand how to help them and keep everyone else safe. I'm already taking a criminal justice class while being in high school, and I'm understanding what the police have to do to make sure people are safe and also how they have to act during a mass casualty. I know people don't like the police because of what some of them did, and yes, they were taking their power to their heads, but not all cops or FBI agents are bad, and I want to be the person to show everyone that not all people are bad but can make you feel safe rather than be scared.
