$10,000. Enough money to impact the lives of many and start a positive movement towards an entire hometown. In a city like Plano, Texas, $10,000 is not seen as that much money. It is how one uses the money or invest in it to help impact a community. The best people do not have the best of everything, they just make the most of everything they have. The people who have the most impact towards their communities are the ones who care more about giving rather than receiving. If I was given a $10,000 grant, I would make the most of it by investing in my community so people other than me can reap the benefits of the money as well.
In my hometown of Plano, Texas, not everyone is in need of money. For the people in my city who need the assistance is where the money would go. I am not popular in my city but I know enough people that would help me start my movement. If I was blessed enough to be given a $10,000 grant I would start a movement called “Getting To Receive”. With this movement, I would invest $10,000 to the people of need in my city. The money would go to gathering supplies, tools, food, water, as well as exposure to get my movement out to the world. I need this exposure so people can see what I’m doing and follow in my footsteps. When I’m driving or walking around, I hate having to see homeless men and women begging for money. I wish I had the resources to be able assist them with their needs. With the help of the $10,000 grant, my new movement, and the people in my city, we could help end our problem of homelessness.
If this grant was given to me, I would use every cent towards the betterment of people in my city who need the help. I want the best for myself and my people. When people see my movement, they will be willing to help, donate, and give me the exposure I need to expand. The $10,000 will not be the end all be all. It will be the start of something people in my city will remember forever. The movement I start will turn out to be my journey. My journey to be better person and to help the people I care so much for.
