My whole life, my parents have been buying and selling horses for a living. My afternoons and weekends have been spent at the barn or at horse shows, and I wouldn't change anything about the way I have grown up. Since I have been in this way of life for so long, I have unfortunately seen horses not getting the correct care they need. When a horse gets injured, they need time to recover and rehabilitate before being worked extremely hard. Most owners of horses are unaware of that fact. After their horses heal, they begin showing and competing on them immediately. When people do this to their horses, the horses tend to get hurt even worse because they weren't slowly started back after the injury.

I have decided that I am going to own and operate my own Equine AquaTreader in the Waco, Texas, area. An AquaTreader is a treadmill that is enclosed all the way around so you can add water to the inside of it.
This is the best option for rehabilitation at this point in time, this machine can also work for any type of animal. Before I can open my own business I must get my degree. In the fall, I plan to start at Tarleton State University, and major in Animal Science as well as minoring in Business. I believe my childhood has perfectly prepared me for my major. My mother also has her masters in Animal Science, so if I ever have a question or problem with my school work she will be perfect to help out wherever needed. I feel as though I am prepared thoroughly for my major and I also believe I will have a lot of success in this field.
