Nurse dream by Sheyla - March 2025 Scholarship Essay
In ten years, I picture myself as a dedicated and skilled nurse, someone who has a positive impact on those around me. That’s where education comes into place it will help me continuously shape both my career and my life. With the way I’m going now, I truly believe I can support people and make my family proud. From an early age, my mom instilled in me the value of learning and how it can unlock countless opportunities. From her own experiences coming from nothing by herself not still able to go to school and work. She is truly my inspiration even though she couldn’t go to college she never gave up on pursuing education. I remember she wanted to be a CNA so badly so she entered a class. I Remember her studying late nights just to get a better job to raise me and my sister and it made me realize the immense power of education, sparking my motivation to take my studies seriously. To be honest, I was confused about what I wanted to do in life but then I realized I liked helping people, this enthusiasm eventually directed me toward nursing, a career that would empower me to use my knowledge to help others. I know nursing is not an easy task many were shocked when I picked it saying that it would be difficult since becoming a nurse means undergoing rigorous academic training, and I’m fully committed to doing the work required to thrive. When I do go into nursing school I'll dive into subjects like anatomy, physiology, ethics, and patient care. These courses will help me understand the human body better, to know about how to treat my patients and what’s causing their pain, but they will also guide me in connecting with patients on a personal level. Nurses aren’t just caretakers there a emotional support for both patients and their families. , I aim to learn how to provide compassionate care, truly making a difference in the lives of individuals who are often facing tough times.
