If I could study abroad during my college education, this would positively impact my understanding of the world around me and what is has to offer. College presents the opportunity for students to not only learn more about the cultures that surround us, but to also learn and find a deeper understanding within ourselves. What better place to discover more about oneself and the world than studying abroad? I feel that there is no greater prospect than this, and that is why I plan to take full advantage of this opportunity during my college education.
I have always been curious about what the world has to offer me outside of this amazing country, and I believe that studying abroad will definitely sate my desire to become more cultured. My love for traveling has lead me to visit many other states and countries thus far, and I know that it will also open many doors in my future.
I plan to pursue a higher education at a four-year university to obtain a degree in Fashion Merchandising and Business. When I was beginning my college search, I would specifically look at the college’s program and what, if any, studying abroad opportunities they offered. I feel that studying abroad will positively impact my education, especially with the area of study that I plan to pursue. The market of fashion is global, and I believe that studying abroad will deepen my knowledge of this industry. Firsthand experience is crucial to develop a well-rounded education; therefore, any studying abroad programs that will be offered to me will not be taken for granted. The prospect of assuming a higher education in another country leaves nothing but keenness in its wake; learning more about the world around me is all that I strive to achieve.
The cultures of the world have so much to teach us. They present the opportunity to learn and grow not only as a student, but as an individual as well. The positive impact that studying abroad will have on my college education will be inimitable. By broadening my horizons, I will acquire a better understanding of this beautifully complex planet and absorb all that it has to offer. I know that I will discover more about myself, create lasting memories, and experience the world like never before.
This new chapter of my life that I am entering is scary, exciting, and full of unimaginable wonders that I can’t wait to uncover. Impacting my college education with nothing but positivity, studying abroad will be one of the greatest learning experiences that I will have. For now, my mind and arms are wide open, ready to receive the deeper understanding that the world has to give me.
