Dinner with President Trump! by SHELBY - October 2017 Scholarship Essay

What would dinner be like with the President of the United States? I’ve always wondered what we would talk about and where we would eat! Would I just be eating with just him or his whole body guards? If Donald Trump and I ever got a chance to have dinner together I’d have many of questions.
First I’d ask why he wanted to be the President. If he answered with a smart, professional answer, I’d probably have to ask if he could dumb that down for me. I wanted this dinner to be a casual everyday dinner not some professional, overly done dinner. After him answering the question i would precede to ask if he knew all the work he would have to do becoming the President. Hopefully he would say yes but if he said no I would say dont you wish you did!
Next after probably ordering our drinks and maybe an appetizer, he would probably ask why i wanted to eat dinner with him and not another President. My answer would simple and blunt. I would simply say, “you are courageous and smart,” and why wouldnt want to eat dinner with someone like that. I’d continue to say that we are just alike because he dosent care if he hurts feelings or not, whats needs to be said, needs to be said!
After that, hopefully we would have gotten our dinners and started stuffing our faces. I would feel so unclassy because I dont eat with my legs crossed! Ha! I would continue to ask him just randoml questions about him and his family. Then I’d stand up and take a selfie then get a hand shake!
Many of people would not pick Donald to eat dinner with and they have their reasons and i have mine. Donald is a good guy that wanted to do good for the country. So in conclusion if I had to pick a president to eat with, I’d pick our President Mr. Donald Trump!
