I have been in classrooms for 14 years I am a junior in Collage at Southern Utah University. I have loved being in the classroom I value it as a place where I can go to let my creative side of me go and I can have an open mind to learn. Classrooms were the place that I was most comfortable I loved being able to go and have the opportunity to have your knowledge tested and test your previous knowledge. You learn about yourself within a classroom and a lot of people learn more about you while you are in a classroom.
Having classrooms so close to my heart I have made my major elementary education. I am so excited to create that classroom environment that makes students grow and test their strength but also have fun with them. My future classroom will have color everywhere I want the students to be comfortable with classroom environment I create. I also what the students to be open about how they are feeling and have an emotions chart in the classroom so that everyday they can tell what is concerning them and this can open up the line of communication for the students to talk to me about what may be concerning in their life. In my classrooms I want to create an atmosphere of comfort and learning but in order to do that the students have to be comfortable with me. When I remember classrooms that have had an impact on me have been with teachers or professors that I have felt comfortable with and felt like my questions were valued.
My overall goal of my classroom would be open communication between my students and me. I just want students to be comfortable with learning and pushing themselves to learn better. I want to make my students think back 20 years down the road when they are in college or whatever else they may be doing and know that I believed in them.
