Women's Right Activists by Shawn - February 2016 Scholarship Essay

I would like to go back on time and see how they movement came about. Women all over the world should know about Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton. Susan and Elizabeth made sure that women’s voices are heard. They also made sure that women could have the right to vote. There is a statue of Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth caddy Stanton in remembrance for what they did.
If it wasn’t for Susan B. Anthony, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, and other women activists, women wouldn’t have a say so in the world. Susan and Elizabeth fought for right of women all over the
world. If I could have dinner with any historical figure, I would choose Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton. I chose these amazing women because women today wouldn’t be able to work in male dominant careers.
Susan B. Anthony is the most well-known women’s rights activist. She was born on February 15, 1820. Her parents taught her that all men and women should be equal. She was a temperance activist before she joined the women’s suffrage campaign. Susan was the vice president of the NAWSA. Susan kept fighting until she died on March 13, 1906.
Elizabeth Cady Stanton is also one of the women’s right activists of the 19th century. Elizabeth was born on November 12, 1815. In her days, Elizabeth was surrounded by all types of movements. She wanted to seek equality for women all over the world. She was a committed abolitionist to the women’s suffrage. Elizabeth continued to fight and march until she died in 1902.
