Where I’ll be in 10 Years by Shannon - March 2025 Scholarship Essay
Ten years from now, I see myself in a career where I can make a real difference in my community and in the lives of others. As a Black woman in Georgia, I want to be someone who inspires other young women, especially girls of color, to believe in themselves and chase their dreams, no matter the challenges they face. Whether I’m working as a teacher, in social justice, or in another field where I can help others, my goal is to create opportunities for people to succeed. The education I’m getting now will play a huge role in helping me get there. The skills I learn, the people I meet, and the experiences I have will prepare me to handle whatever challenges come my way. I want to use what I learn to break down barriers for myself and others, especially in communities that don’t always have the same opportunities. I also want to use my education to speak up for fairness and equality, making sure everyone has a chance to succeed. My education will help me build the confidence and leadership skills I need to make a positive impact, inspire change, and lift up others in the process.
