Survival Guide to Wunsche by SHANIECE - March 2019 Scholarship Essay

As a senior at Carl Wunsche Sr. High School and apart of the first graduating class it has been a liberating experience. For the incoming freshmen, there is a lot of things that you'll need to understand to excel at Wunsche. First and foremost, Wunsche is a Career Academy whos goal is to produce college-ready graduates by the end of the four years you will spend there. To provide an environment of a college institution, Wunsche does not have any bells. The only bells that ring throughout the day would be when the first class of the day starts, announcements, and lastly the dismissal bell at the end of the day. Not having a set reminder helps promote time management. So my advice would be to pay attention to the clocks and keep on task with your assignments.
As a first-year student, it is easy to slack off on work as it is not as demanding as it is a junior or senior. However, Wunsche is a very competitive school. Waiting to bring your grades up will seriously affect you. It'll be more beneficial if you try your hardest with your academic because it would defeat the purpose of attending.
Lastly, Wunsche has a project that all grade level participates in called the Foundation Project. This a four-step plan. Foundation Stone, Stepping Stone, Corner Stone, and Cap Stone. All stones are interconnected and help the transition to the final project. My advice would be to stick to your topic and if you decide to change it do enough research. The last Stone is the most important one, but without the others, it would be a failure. But if you put in the hard work, then there is a possible chance of winning a scholarship.
