Education is with us right from the beginning. It starts with our parents who educate us on how to behave, how to eat, how to dress ourselves, how to take care of our bodies. We then progress on into school and learn foundational concepts: how to add and subtract numbers, how to spell, how to read. As we get into higher grades we get some control over what we want to be educated in. Perhaps we prefers arts, or maybe history or technology. We go on into college and get an education in a specific field. Some of us go straight into the workforce and are met with more education there. Learning occurs in the jobs we apply for, the activities we partake in, and the people we spend our time with.

Education surrounds us. Each day we browse the internet, read articles, watch videos and are being educated. Although it may not seem like it, education takes place so often. Just learning a new recipe to cook for dinner is a form of education. We use our education to make decisions all the time. Our lives are driven through the education we gain from life. We make money from our education, no matter where we got our education from. We are able to meet people because we were taught how to socialize. We get to places based on directions we were taught from someone or something.

Education never stops. It is always a part of us, a part of our lives. I can't think of a single day that has gone by where I haven't been educated or learnt something new. Education can be as small as learning how to tie your shoes, to as large scale as learning how to build a car. Education is what drives the human race. We all function in society: go shopping, pay bills, drive cars. We weren't just born knowing these things. We learned them through education and continue to learn things every day. This is why I say education is a way of life. Without education, I am not sure how our population would function and be as complex as it is now.
