2016 Organized by Sevyn - January 2016 Scholarship Essay

During the 2016 school year, I am going to stay more organized with all of my school work. I will take the time, money, and effort to organize the materials and schoolwork I need.

Instead of putting all worksheets and papers that I receive from teachers in one folder, I will buy separate folders for each class. The folders will have the class name clearly labeled on them, and they will be different colors so it is easier to tell them apart from one another.

Along with the folders that I buy, I will buy pens that coordinate with the colors of the folders. Then, while I am filling out my planner at the end of the day, I will use the matching color to write what homework I have due the following day. If there is a project that is assigned and isn't due the following day, but rather later in the week or weeks to come, I will still write the assignment down, but put the due date along side it. Even if there is no assignment that is due in the future or the following day for a class, I will still make sure to write "none" so I don't have to second guess myself about whether or not an assignment is due.

With the effort that I take to make myself and my schoolwork more organized, I will become a better student in 2016. Not only will I take these actions while I am finishing up my senior year of high school, but I will also stay organized throughout my college years, and later adult life as well.
