The opportunity to study abroad is once in a lifetime. If given the opportunity, I would not only see the new world and experience a new culture; I would be given the chance to see how others around the world learn in comparison to how we do. Studying abroad would give me the chance to see a different side of my career that I would not be able to see if I were to be at home. Being abroad would mean learning to break a language barrier as well as giving me the opportunity to experiment with where I wish to settle down in my career later on. I will also be given the chance to find new interests, make lifelong friends, along with gaining personal developmental skills that can be used in my employment or my life post-graduation. Most employers seek out employees who have international experience, as this provides a whole new level of global and cultural understanding. I wish to become a teacher in the future and learning new ways in which those in Europe learn would be an unfathomable experience. The chance to study abroad would make me a well-rounded, globally educated college student that employers would love to see.
