What is one of your greatest academic achievements and how has it impacted you? by sasha - March 2014 Scholarship Essay

The greatest academic achievement that I have had is being accepted into the Licensed Practical Nursing Program at Clover Park technical College. It has impacted me by letting me believe in myself more. I was an average student in high school; I got C's and almost did not graduate with my class on time.

After high school I worked as a Teacher Assistant at a daycare, as a Nanny and then as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Working those jobs led me to realize that I am a great caregiver. I then decided to enroll in prerequisites for Licensed Practical Nursing and was able to pass all of my classes with B's or higher.

I was then added to the wait list for the program which wouldn't allow me to start school until spring of 2016 and then I was bumped up to start spring of 2015 and now I am currently waiting to start my program March 31st 2014. I will be able to have a career for myself now that I can participate in this nursing program. In the near future I have the possibility of furthering my career and education by becoming a registered nurse.

I just need to accomplish my next academic achievement and keep believing in myself.
