One piece of advice I would give a teacher to help me learn would be to find ways to help them to better connect with not only me but the students in the class as well. With this connection we would be able to relate with one another which I find incredibly helpful in the classroom because it helps me to better understand what my teacher is teaching me. I would be able to absorb information that is more helpful to my education if this bond were created and I became more comfortable with the teacher. The teacher would not have to necessarily be my best friend but if they at-least act like they care about their students and their job it would be more fulling in their classroom for us all including the teacher.

I feel that students are more interactive in the classroom if the teacher is always on our level. For example, most teachers that I have had teach by writing their lesson's on the board, speak in a monotone voice, and hand out worksheets with the intent to keep us busy. Having those types of teachers is always a bore an it is a struggle to learn anything. When I have a teacher like that I always have to teach go home and teach myself what we went over in class.

I like the type of teachers that jump around the classroom "preaching" what they know. The type of teacher that would scream at us when we all knew we were not pushing hard enough. Also, the type of teacher that would even cry when they feel that they have failed us in teaching and in life. I know those type of teachers are out there, maybe even some have lost their drive. But, their are still students that still appreciate being in the classroom of a true teacher. I know that they are out there because I have had a teacher with these awe-inspiring attributes. It may not seem that we appreciate you in the classroom but when we get a taste of real life and growing up, that type of teacher will be the one we as your students will remember most.
