"It's kind of fun to do the impossible." - Walt Disney by Sarah - February 2016 Scholarship Essay
My first film I’ve ever watched was “Pete’s Dragon,” my first Disney film on VHS. My only VHS I wanted to watch again and again. The fun colors of Elliot, the dragon. The kindness of Nora and Pete’s heart and the way Nora guards him. I wanted to live in the world of Passamaquoddy with Pete and Nora. But Passamaquoddy is a fictional fishing town. I’m just a girl that loved dragons and singing about love.
My title is simple: "It's kind of fun to do the impossible." - Walt Disney. Why wouldn't you want to do something as amazing as sit with a man of many questions? Or, his cryogenic frozen head. However you would like to picture this scenario.
Walter Elias Disney: a man with no boundaries. The man who invented the mouse started a phenomenon that now involves singing princes and women who can produce snow in the palm of her hand. The unfortunate death of such a genius to lung cancer at sixty-seven is depressing, yet his imagination still lives on in the hearts and eyes of this large corporations fans; both young and old.
Again I ask the rhetorical question: Why would you not enjoy an evening with the man who single handedly changed the perspective of young Sarah Ramon?
