If I had unlimited time and money, I would use it to invest back into people who need it the most. What school has taught me is that most high schoolers don’t have the proper resources or preparation to succeed in the “adult” world, whether going to college or working. I would use my resources and abilities to help those who need a little extra boost; those who are willing to work for their success, but are often overlooked by the education system.
In my situation, I have been fortunate to have people who supported me and provided me with the resources I needed to succeed. I have learned many strategies through research and real-life scenarios and learned that success can look very different to everyone. The positive impact I wish to make would have to do with college in particular since I see a significant need for help for those who wish to go but lack the capacity to do so without going into enormous amounts of debt.
I would teach high schoolers the importance of managing their money well and learning affordable strategies to stay out of the most amount of debt possible. I would also love to fund a scholarship myself at some point, and overall help with financial support. I have been helped by so many people, and I would love to give back in the same way.
