Technology has made many advances in the past decade alone. Many of these changes have redefined how students and teachers work together to cover the required information.
Many classrooms provide students with laptops, iPads, or they will allow students to bring their own device. Having the ability to use technology for school has allowed students to better communicate with teachers beyond the classroom. Students now have the opportunity to E-mail their teachers with questions at any time and receive an answer. Communicating online with teachers and administrators creates a more individualized and personal way of learning.
Technology in the classroom has allowed students to not only discover their learning style but also let them use that while studying because of the features that online textbooks and study tools provide. Online textbooks often have multiple different forms of study guides and some will even provide audio books and extra visual aids such as charts, graphs, and interactive chapter outlines. Online textbooks prevent students from carrying around heavy books all day and makes them easily accessible. Programs and websites such as Google Classroom, AP Classroom, and Quizlet allow teachers to grade assignments efficiently and students to stay more organized along with control how they study.
For students who struggle with waking up in the morning, have learning disabilities, or simply prefer doing things at their own pace now have the option of online schooling. This has allowed students to either catch up, or get ahead depending on the level they are at. Online education provides students with programs that are based around their future and how they learn.
