My Ulitimate Strategy For a Successful School Project by Sarah - December 2017 Scholarship Essay

The ultimate strategy to gain success on a school project is to have determination, a plan, time management and creativity. I believe that success will always come to someone if they apply all of these aspects into a school project or any project at all.

Starting out with a plan will always help one complete a project well and successfully. I know from experience that making a project without a plan is exceptionally difficult. It also never really comes out the way I want it to. But, having a plan can allow for a project to be completed efficiently and well.
I believe that planning also has a direct correlation to time management. Once an entire project is planned out, less time is spent creating the project. It becomes easier to write out everything that you originally planned to write because it was premeditated. A plan can also act as a checklist for a project. It allows one to see exactly what it is that their project needs to include, and helps prevents important information from being excluded. However, projects, whether they are essays, posters or presentations, can quickly become a pain for others to read/listen too if it is nothing more than straight up facts. Projects need to have some level of enjoyability.

Enjoyability in a project can only be achieved through an aspect of creativity. Creativity includes things such as a design for a project that is visually pleasing or attractive, interesting comparisons and themes along with how a project is presented (if it is to be presented). Sometimes creativity can even show up in a project through humor, though it is only okay if it is appropriate. As an example, In this essay about how I make my school projects successful, it may not be right to throw in a bunch of jokes. However, just for me to mention that I wouldn't throw in jokes or puns in this essay may be seen as fairly entertaining in itself. Enjoyability is all about trying to connect with your audience an make them feel like you are having a conversation with them. It also makes the project seem more unique. However, it can also be hard to accomplish that without making the project seem less professional. It takes a lot of creativity and balancing to create something that someone else would like to spend their time reading. It takes a lot of determination to get your project to where you want it to be.

Determination is another important aspect of any project for me. In order for a project to come out successfully and the way I want it too, I have to put forth the effort. I have to be determined and care enough about the project to do my best. Even if it is a project I don't really want to work on, I give myself the determination to finish it by giving myself goals to work towards. The amount of determination that I have will foreshadow how well my project is completed. Determination also relates to how willing I am to do something. My determination is shown when I'm willing to put forth the effort to make a plan, make time to work on it and think outside the box to make it as enjoyable as possible.

Determination, planning, time management and adding a touch of creativity are all important aspects of a project. With all of these combined, I have the ability to successfully create an amazing project. It doesn't even have to be a school project, these things can even apply to career based projects and even personal projects. But, in order for all of these things to come together and form a successful project, hard work and time must be applied as well. Along with having faith in yourself to create something great. This is my ultimate strategy for a successful school project.
