My Captivating Dinner With JFK by Sarah - October 2017 Scholarship Essay
John F. Kennedy, the 35th President, was someone who captured the attention of many people in the past, as well as now in the future. Not only himself, but the entire Kennedy family has been linked to many conspiracy theories. A lot of which still keep conspiracy theorist puzzled today, including myself. While some others may choose differently, I would have dinner with former U.S President John F. Kennedy.
The Kennedy family is one of the most famous families in history. They also are the target for many conspiracies, especially JFK. The most well known conspiracy and the main reason I would want to have dinner with the 35th President of the United States is to uncover the truth to his assassination. It has been over 50 years since his death, and many people today still want to uncover what really happened to the President and if it really was Lee Harvey Oswald. Some of the most famous theories of his death include; the Soviets, Cubans, mafia, and even the CIA had a part in doing it. Another one is that Lyndon B. Johnson arranged it. I'm very interested in uncovering all the details about his assassination.
Another conspiracy that I would like to discuss with JFK is the conspiracy on the "Kennedy Curse". This family curse came to be because of the family's list of misfortunes. During his testimony about the Chappaquiddick Incident in 1969, Ted Kennedy said publically, "I wonder if a curse actually did hang over the Kennedys".
John F. Kennedy has sparked my interest in his life, which is why I would love to sit down and have dinner with him. Listening to his stories from his time as president would be extraordinary. Hearing him talk about the conspiracies of him and his family's life would be entertaining. Thank you for this opportunity.
