If the roles were reversed which academic subject would you teach and why?
The academic subject I would teach would have to be Chemistry. Chemistry is the third hardest school subject. I Myself took chemistry and learned it was the hardest subject I had on my schedule. I taught myself how to make it entreating for me. I watched chemical reactions videos, stayed for study hall and had great success on my lab reports.
I can change the perspective of chemistry to students by making this subject fun. Chemistry can be entertaining by planning out field trips, being able to learn but still have fun with experiments and not make testing a mandatory option for students. School work is one of the most stressful categories for high school students. This includes homework, test and projects. My goal for my chemistry students would be to give no homework, have five question quizzes on Friday and one chapter test a month. Me and my students would work together as a group and get work done within class to decrease the possibility of having out of school stress along with other subjects.
I would open as many opportunities as I can to help my students pass but still leave with knowing the lessons of chemistry. I would also make my students lives easier by not having them stressing over their grades. I would encourage them to correct their mistakes. Chemistry can be taught in a fun courageous way and I would be willing to do that.
