“Your ego is not your amigo,” would be my senior quote simply because it expresses the fact that people should conduct themselves properly. I am a firm believer in the awareness of others around you. No one likes to hear conceited people voice their selfish opinions.
I am currently in high school and there are many students who are full of themselves and obnoxiously flaunt it. Over the years I have learned that it is very frustrating to listen to people brag about their accomplishments, their looks, or anything else that pertains to them. Don’t get me wrong, it is not a bad thing to have pride, in fact, everyone should have confidence in themselves, it is just the way they present it that defines themselves.
Thankfully, I have developed the ability to disconnect myself from certain types of people when I get the chance too. The types of people I have eschewed from are the ones that drag you into their problems or get into everyone's business. In summary, this quote explains one of the ways I want to live my life, happy. I want to be happy and if I have to achieve that by jilting the self-centered, then I will do just that.
