Everyone always says college is a wild ride with numerous opportunities to begin the rest of your life. Without those opportunities you would not have the experience of college. Experiences that college student gather through their years are the ability of learning to live on their own, sports gatherings and the fascination of meeting all kinds of new people. After hearing numerous stories from college students coming home for breaks, I’ve learned that these experiences are what makes college life interesting.
The main experience of college is learning to live on your own. This is the time where you leave the nest and venture on your own. You learn that when the food in the refrigerator runs low you have to go to the grocery store and buy more. You learn to take care of yourself when you’re sick. You also learn how to manage your money wisely because in college you will not be able to buy that $5 cup of coffee every day.
Another great experience is getting out and enjoying the sporting events. This is a good way to mingle and meet new people, eat good food, and to cheer on your college’s team. Attending the football, basketball, and many more games will allow you to get some entertainment and free your mind of stressful school work for a couple hours. Plus, there are always those couple of students like to put on a little show at half time that you cannot miss out on.
Lastly, one experience that will stick with you the rest of your life is that college is the place where you will meet your lifelong best friends. Since childhood, everyone always says that your college best friends will never leave your side. This is the time where you meet people that share the same hobbies and interests as you, making them be the best kind of friends to have around.
All-in-all, the main reason why I want to attend college is for the experience. These college experiences shape your future and will make great memories. Without these experiences you will not be able to live on your own after school and to start a family of your own. You will not have the stress reliever from all the school work by going to all those sporting events. Lastly, you will not be able to meet your lifelong best friends. Overall the idea of going to college out ways what life would be without college.
