High school goes by really fast. Specially your senior year, because you get to do more things than the other classes. One of the traditions as a high school senior is that on your picture that is on the yearbook you get to put your own quote. The quote i would put is "Doesn't matter where you come from as longest you give your 100% and stay humble you'll succeed in the goals you have in life"
To begin with, i would choose this quote because i relay on it a lot. My path in this life hasn't been easy. For example, my mom needed to go to mexico when i was 3 years old. She needed to go to mexico because my great-grandpa had gotten sick. We stay to live in mexico for 6 years. I went to elementary in mexico, and it was hard for me. Parent's and student's would discriminate me because I was from the U.S . My family would struggle financially because the doctor was expensive, the medicines, and exams. We didn't had extra money to go to buy clothes or go and have fun with the family like going to the movies etc. After time pass my grandpa got more sick, and after fighting for a long time he passed away.
To continue with, months pass and we came back to the U.S . My mom needed to find a job and a house to rent. At the moment we would stay with my uncle and aunt. Finally my mom was able to find a job and a house to rent. Although, we didn't have enough money to go buy new clothes, shoes, or new furniture. One time one friend got mad/frustrated with me and told me "you ain't nothing compare to me you poor Hispanic." I got sad and went home to cry. Time pass and my grades in school were awesome and lately i had been receiving awards. One day i found out that my ex-friend the one who told me poor Hispanic had been arrested; with charges of possession of Marijuana. Perfect example that if you give your 100% and stay humble you'll succeed in the goals you have in life.
Through this essay i try to explain what my senior picture quote would be. I try to explain what meanings it has to me and why. Also, I try to explain what causes push me to select this quote.
