Finals week by Rodolfo - June 2016 Scholarship Essay

I live in a small town in Texas called Nederland. The school that I attend to is about 20 minutes away from my home. It takes a significant amount of time to get from my home to school. Because of my situation I would constantly be late for school. I didn't think that it was a big deal until came the last week of my high school career.
I didn't think much of my tardiness until they told we couldn't exempt our final exams if we had too many tardies. Unfortunately I was one of the students that were unable to exempt any of finals. Once I found out I couldn't exempt any classes I knew my last week of high school was going to be my worst. I had a total of six finals I had to take. The classes that I had to take final exams included Government, English, Religion, Pre-Calculus, GMOA, Piano, and Computer Science 2.
I had a week to study for all my final exams. Luckily all my teachers gave me reviews to study.I crammed so much information into my brain that week. I've never felt so much stress in my life before. I focused on government and religion the most because I knew if I failed either it would damage my grade the most in those classes than in the rest. In times like these quizlet is your best friend. I made study sheets for each class on quizlet and it helped me just by typing out the material.
When I finally took my final exams there was so much weight lifted from my shoulders. In piano class I had to play in a recital which was nerve racking but I did pretty well. Math is one of my main assets so I made an A on my Pre-Calculas final exam naturally. GMOA, Religion, and English were exactly like the review so those were surprisingly easy. Computer Science was definitely something I underestimated but I had a high average in the class which allowed for a bigger margin for error. Finally the test I was not looking forward to the most was government. It had fifty questions and an essay and honestly it was probably the easiest test of the year.
I overcame my challenge of being stressed during my final week of high school. I was so relieved when I finished my final exam. I have since graduated and am ready to taken on more difficult finals. This experience helped me learn to not stress out too much and take my problems on one by one.
