The SAT is probably one of the most important tests a high schooler will take. Unfortunately, I have always struggled with PSAT/SAT exams, but I am very driven to change that. This upcoming year, my academic goal is to receive a score that I will be satisfied with and that colleges would find acceptable.
The first time I took the PSAT was in 8th grade. I had no clue what it was or what it was for. I thought it was like any other test, so I opened the booklet and started working. I breezed through the questions and I thought it was an easy exam. However, my results left me in shock. Apparently, most of the questions I answered were incorrect, and I received one of the lowest scores out of all the 8th-grade classes. This did affect me and made me feel quite unintelligent. Therefore, in my junior year, I made sure to study all the areas where I was having difficulty. Unfortunately, my score only raised by 100 points. I was a bit disappointed but at least I did improve just a little.
This year I am determined to get at least 1200, which is quite a difference from my last scores but I believe that it is possible. It is incredibly important for me to receive 1200. Especially because my top colleges will also be receiving my scores, and I would definitely want to impress them. To help, I have signed up for an SAT study, SAT exam, and practice SAT questions on College Board. Obtaining a great score is crucial for me since I wish to see my growth and be pleased with myself for working hard for it.
