Education: Out of the Head and Into our Hands by Robert - May 2020 Scholarship Essay

Education is a topic that is often discussed amongst a variety of groups. This word is used by students, to parents, and all the way up to our president. Education is the one thing that combines the nation. At least, this is what its purpose is supposed to serve. Education actually does not unify the nation.
Different areas have different levels of education. Those living in areas with higher affluence, are likely to receive higher education-levels and better forms of education. Not every school can afford things like microscopes or certain chemicals for certain higher-level classes. This results in classes such as these not even being offered at these schools.
Education will move to become the true great-equalizer as it is often referred to. I believe education will start to rely more and more on the students. Teachers will not be as hands-on as they are now and students will instead find more independence in their studies. Things like required-courses will be gone and schedules for students will be much looser but give them an opportunity to craft their own paths in education. This will individualize the educational process and allow students to graduate from it with more confidence in the areas they will use and receive achievements in.
The concept of Education will become much more individualized over the years. However, this individuality, will bring the nation more together than it has been previously. As now everyone is able to contribute their best-selves to the nation and not try to fill the mold that modern education tries to force them into.
