The Meaning of College by Robert - June 2013 Scholarship Essay
Students all around the world who strive for success attend college to increase job opportunities, income, and respect. Though this may be true for most students it is not neccessarily true for all students. Some students find college successful because college is a hot spot for young attractive adults or free money given by financial aide. All in all, college is a pathway of many opportunities for one individual to choose. College required many attributes from a student like independence, time management, finance management, and focus. It is also a period of time where many students are making that transition from teenagers to young adults. The many choices college has to offer can control the young and weak minded which can lead to leaving campus and never returning. College is also like a war amongst everyone in a peaceful manner. Every student in class are friends but will soon become a competitor when one job is availible but 2 students are trying to persue that opening. Grade point averages also play a major factor in college as well. That student next to you is studying 4-6 hours a day for a 3.8 g.p.a. so now its understood that 6-8 hours is what it must take to receive that glorious 4.0 g.p.a. So, the true meaning of college is a student who overcomes many obsticles that indeeds defines who they really are as a person.
