Quintessential

I chose the word quintessential because it portrays "most perfect or typical example of a quality or class" (dictionary.com). This aligns with my lifestyle that I live out at St. Thomas. During my first semester of college as a Freshman, I can attest that I have kept true to my word of trying my best each and every day to become the best version of myself I possibly can. I pursued my life goals at my university through my academics and extracurricular activities. I made sure to apply for as many scholarships as I can while still maintaining a high GPA in courses through ought my semester. I used my creative skills to work with a private company that I had never met before and had their staff aid me in creating a movie by working with their employees to produce an outstanding video to promote motorcycle safety. I came to St. Thomas to pursue my dream of becoming as close to I can towards the example of quality life want to lead in my life. I have made a solemn pledge to myself that I will follow my vision to be successful in the innovating medical career I choose and to carry the same determination throughout my higher education, to the highest possible level I dare aspire to. Earning this generous award will add more Kindle to the flames of my unparalleled determination and it will help me become the role model my family knows that I can be.
I want to pursue knowledge, have friends, get my heart broken, and live a little according to my quintessential idea of what the good life means to me. I want to work hard, and uphold the highest standard of quality and class. That is why I chose Quintessential.
