Passion Production by Riley - February 2025 Scholarship Essay

I felt that spark the minute the digital media teachers had picked up the camera to show us the kind of equipment we could borrow throughout our years in the program. I felt a rush of excitement and couldn't wait to get my hands on it. I wanted to make a movie. I wanted to record and create a story using that camera. I wanted to learn how to use it and learn to bring a story to life. This is what has shaped my future goals. From that moment I knew I wanted to feel that same rush of excitement as I got older and never get tired of it. I wanted to create my own productions and take whatever class I could to get more experience. I wanted to achieve the highest I could in the area of digital media. And it grew my love for film and drive for dedication of creating my own. Finally there was a subject I felt like I wanted to learn more and more about. Something that felt like me and drew me closer, waiting for more. I felt that spark that made me feel like I belonged and that this was my area of expertise. I want to know all about this subject, I want to fully immerse myself in this subject.
