Our Right to an Education
According to Merriam-Webster, the definition of education is, "the knowledge and development resulting from the process of being educated." Many question whether education is a right or a privilege, and I believe it is most certainly a right. Education is extremely important at a young age and is necessary to be able to work at any job as most require problem solving skills, communication skills, and many more skills that can all be obtained in schooling.
For starters, problem solving skills are a skill that can be acquired while in school. The main subjects that will help you gain and maintain these problem solving skills are STEM courses, or, science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. These four subjects will greatly improve your problem solving skills which is a definite need to be successful later in life, however, it is not the only way it can be acquired.
Another skill picked up at school from is communication skills. Without communication skills, you would not know how to properly communicate with others. Communication skills are extremely important because we have to be able to talk to each other and be able to tell them what we want.
Having the both of these skills is a must to be able to move on in life and acquire a good job. Thus, we schooling is a right that we are entitled to because of the basic skills we shall pick up to succeed.
