What would I do? by Raina - April 2023 Scholarship Essay

Resources and opportunities are often limited for so many people. I am from a third world country, if I had unlimited time and money, I would use the knowledge and education I have gained to create a positive impact on the world in several meaningful ways to help others with little or no opportunities.

First and foremost, I would focus on improving the lives of children in my country, especially those who are vulnerable and marginalized. I would establish educational programs and scholarships to ensure that every child, regardless of their socio-economic background, has access to quality education. I would also work towards providing basic necessities such as food, clean water, and healthcare to improve their overall well-being.

As a single mom, I understand the challenges and struggles faced by single parents in my community on a daily basis. I would create support systems and resources for single mothers to help them gain economic independence through skill development, and access to affordable childcare. Empowering single mothers in a way that would improve their own lives but also contribute to the overall socio-economic development.

Lastly, with unlimited time and money, I would use my education to create a positive impact on the world by focusing on improving education, empowering women, promoting sustainable development, supporting single mothers, and improving healthcare access.
