I believe that the most important soft skill to possess to have a successful education would be perseverance. People from all walks of life experience great adversity, and all it would take to detail their entire education pathway is one little rock if they didn’t possess perseverance. Many great minds owe their success to their perseverance, and never giving up their dreams in the face of hardships. You may fail, but never giving up means you learn from your mistakes and try again.

Every college student has experienced failure in some way. Failing tests, missing deadlines, getting bad grades, losing scholarships, not maintaining your GPA are some of the many ways to fail in education. But when you strive for excellence, failure is not an option. You retake tests if you can, try to make up work, put in the work to raise your grades, look for new scholarships, and look for tutors to bring up your GPA. Life is not perfect and education is not always easy, but you just have to push through, and find solutions to fix the problems to get where you need to.

Now, I’m not saying that finding solutions is always possible. Sometimes the problem is unsolvable or unfixable. But this is what it means to persevere. You keep going anyways. You keep trying anyway. If you give up, you have zero percent of success.
