How Will I Be Remembered in My Yearbook? by Rachel - November 2018 Scholarship Essay

Like most High Schoolers I would like to think I have made a formidable mark in the minds of my classmates. In reality I am pretty sure I'll also be remembered for my share of funny and embarrassing moments too. High School is the time to make mistakes and we to hope learn from them as we grow into capable adults ready to take on the world. Perhaps too many to mention but thats part of learning and growing.

A quote to speak of my High School experience should be "Just in Time". I have been remembered by teachers and classmates for being the last one in class and rushing to get things done to get credit as turned in "on time". Just like this scholarship essay, in fact. My grades are important to me but life gets in the way. I have kept a busy schedule and while its not an excuse it is true that in High School I would often arrive in class at the last second. I have experienced my share of challenges. Last year I spent part of the year in a boot from a bad ankle injury and this year I have dealt debilitating gastro-intestinal issues. I am very determined to excel despite what difficulties may get in my way. I hope that I have made a positive impact on others and a legacy to live on in peoples minds beyond this phrase. I know that the I can always manage to get the job done even if "just in time".
