I Can't Save the World by Presley - November 2018 Scholarship Essay
A senior quote is a proclamation of your years throughout school. It is a means of describing who you are to your teachers and classmates. I find that many seniors choose a quote that is more humorous and lighthearted, but I want to proclaim my message to the world. I must dig deep into my own ambitions and emotions, and who I truly am as a person. I find that I am not much of a person, and I will admit that, I'm not a varsity football player, or an academic genius, or even the lead role in the school musical, but I am someone who can represent the underdogs. I am the epitome of average, and I find content in this amenity. As a result of my average perfection, I feel my quote should coincide with this fact: "I may not be able to save the world, but I can make this a world worth saving".
This quote is what I feel best describes who I am as a person to a great extent. I am not powerful, I can not fight for this country, but I can make it a country worth fighting for. Even the smallest seed, with enough love an nurturing, can grow into a mighty oak tree. We are all the smallest pieces to the largest puzzle, and I alone can not put together the convoluted puzzle of life, but I can make it a puzzle worth solving. I also can not save the world, but I can make this a world worth saving.
